ABSTRACT:

Restaurant Management System is developed to automate the daily activity of a restaurant. The purpose of this system is to provide a service facility to the restaurant workers and also to the customers. This restaurant management system website can be used by the employees in a restaurant to handle the clients, their orders, reservation and can help them easily find free tables or place orders. The services provided are

•          food ordering
•         reserving a table by the customer through online
•          customer information management
•          waiter information management
•         menu information management

The main objective builds the system is to provide ordering and reservation service online to the customer. Each menu item has a name, price and associated recipe available. This way ordering and reservation will become easier. The user needs to register first, then they can access the other part of the site.

After login, the customer can access the menu page. The main point of developing this system is to help restaurant administrators manage the restaurant business and help customers with online ordering and reserving a table. The registered user can search for a menu according to price range and category of food and later they can order. Using manual customer ordering is difficult for the worker to keep the correct customer information.

Restaurant Billing System:

• Customers must register with full information.
• Customers will be able to edit their information.
• Customer can order through online from the online menu based on their own dining preferences.
• Discount will be awarded to the customer based on certain criteria.
• The customer can make the table reservation.
• User can submit feedback about the restaurant in the website.
• The system administrator will select the online menu.
• The system administrator can view all the existing/pending order
• The system administrator can see the feedback submitted by customer.
• The system administrator can get the report printed according to the most ordered food/drinks, the total number of order collected in daily, weekly or monthly basis. 

Some Important Modules of Restaurant Management System

Customer Registration Module:

The customer registration module contains a customer's personal information. All of this information will be recorded & saved into the database.

Customer Online Ordering and Reservation Module:

The customer needs to fill up the given form online for ordering & reservation.

Waiter Module:

This module contains waiter information, task schedule and other information related to that waiter. Then all of this information will be recorded into the database. 

Feedback Module:

Based on food & everything about the restaurant, the customer can send any suggestions or report any bad side about the restaurant on the feedback page. Thus, the management will know their mistakes & can improve their performance.

Menu Module:

The menu module is food that the restaurant prepared for the customer. Customers can see the menu from the website and make the decision for what to order.

So, online restaurant management system will be developed to help the restaurant administrator to manage restaurant more efficiently and for customer to make ordering and reservation.  This project is to upgrade the file system and make it easier to handle.
