How to think of awesome ECE project ideas

Every one of us wants to come up with something new and different for our university projects. However, it can be very difficult to come up with those awesome, new & different ideas. This blog post will give you some tips about how to come up with your next great ECE project idea.

It is troublesome to hatch ideas alone. Without a list of questions given to you to decide on from, where should you start? What should you talk about? How can you make it different from others? One thing I have learned from my personal project experience is that if I work on a topic that I’m interested in then I forget that it’s a part of my lesson and simply enjoy it. That is what I love about projects - when you forget what you are doing this for and simply enjoy what you are working on.

·   It can be hard to begin from scratch. Make use of contests or challenges, class assignments and seasonal opportunities as the constraints to help you get started.

Explore the things you are interested in. Start practicing by making some projects that’s been already built. If you are interested in robotics, try to build some awesome robotic projects done by someone else. Working on other’s projects expand your technical abilities. Also, you’ll face many problems while working on it and when you’ll try to solve it you’ll understand the functions more clearly. You’ll get deeper into that topic while searching for a solution and that way you can find a different way to make that project even better. You can apply that to another project.

Read and learn incessantly. Learning can ideally stimulate your brain, and the more you know the more possible connection you can make, and the higher-level projects you can think of. Also, don’t be afraid to increase this to non-engineering topics. Think about how your projects can help mankind and make people’s life more comfortable. Don’t get worried about realistic implementation and just think anything that you want to build.

Try to think in a reverse way if you can’t find anything to modify in someone’s built project. If you are feeling you aren’t able to find anything new and interesting, try turning things upside-down. Instead of searching for a solution to a problem, think about how to create more problems in a particular project. The reverse ideas will come flowing in. Now consider these ideas –and think of a solution for them.

Research on the topic that you are interested in and want to work on. Search for articles on the internet written on that topic. Collect fascinating articles you have found and search more on these topics. Start by searching some key points from your mind before heading to additional details.

Explore GitHub. Even if you’re not a coder, GitHub will be a good supply for inspiration. Browse trending topics for new project ideas.

Go to a hackathon. While a plain suggestion, this list wouldn’t be adequate if excluded. Hackathons mainly designed for aspect projects; a stimulating place to share concepts with others.

Lastly, Be Creative! The point of all of these tips is to give you an overall idea of where to start and how to start. You don’t have to follow them if you have some other ideas! The motive was just sparking the creativity that each of you possesses. Think of an idea and put everything you have into them to make them successful. Good luck.
